Online Gambling Battle Continues

The future of gambling is definitely online but some people who
own land-based casinos don’t want online gambling to expand any
further in the United States. One of those people is Sheldon Adelson
who is CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp. Adelson is said to be one
of the richest Americans and he has been throwing money left and
right to thwart the expansion of online gambling. Adelson has
a ton of money but he is fighting an uphill battle as many companies
including Caesars Entertainment Corp. and MGM Resorts International
want to have a piece of the online gambling pie and they are fighting
for the expansion of online gambling.

With Adelson and his supporters on one side and big companies
like Caesars and MGM on the other side, the battle regarding online
gambling continues. The big winners right now are lobbyists in
Washington D.C. who can get money from one side or the other as
they attempt to persuade legislators toward their point of view.

Regardless of the battles now taking place, the war is going
to be won by those who support online gambling. Morgan Stanley
recently said that by the year 2020, online gambling in the United
States will produce the same amount of revenue as Atlantic City
                and Las Vegas combined.

There are currently three states, Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware
that have some sort of legal online gambling and at least 10 other
states are looking at legalized online gambling.
